Some time ago I created a .ttf fontfile with a collection of sevreral characters from diverse fonts and created some new characters. The font works fine in all applications. However this font doesn't display its mapped characters in Type light 3.1. What can be the reason and how to correct it?

Possibly this is a Symbol font? In which case it will be mapped to the unicode range F000 to F0FF. Select Symbol Character Set in the mapping window (codepage mode) instead of 1252 Latin 1. Scroll down to F020, which will be the start of the character set (space character).
Otherwise, the font may be using an unsupported mapping format. Type 3.1 does not currently support the less common mapping methods that map to 4 byte character codes.
If you want to send me the font (allanmurray@cr8software.net) I could examine it.
