We are new to Type 3.2, but we have been having problems with the kerning system. Although we are able to add kerning pairs and save/load them when we save the font as the Type 3.2 "glyph" file, when we try to save to a TTF or OTF, the kerning seems to be stripped. We have ensured that the "kerning" box is checked both in the font options and in the OpenType options, but this does not seem to have an effect. When we save the TTF/OTF with kerning, then load it back in, the kerning pairs have disappeared!
Are we misinterpreting what should be happening here, or is there some kind of bug where the kerning doesn't get saved, or... ?
(This is on the Windows 64-bit version, BTW.)

If you have kerning in font options checked (regardless of whether you have OpenType kerning checked), then the kerning table should be editable when you load the font (.otf/ttf) back in.
If you only have OpenType kerning checked, then the OpenType kerning will be saved in the font, but will not be editable when you reload it.
I am not sure what is happening with your font. Make sure that you have not got current glyph checked on the kerning window, as this will hide some kerning entries.
If you send me a copy of your .gfs file (with kerning included), I can take a look at it (allanmurray@cr8software.net).

Updating to the .047 build totally fixed our problem, whatever it was Our exported fonts now have kerning in them when we use them in other programs, and when we load them back into Type 3.2 the kerning is intact! Thanks, - Casey
