I can't reproduce what causes this to happen, but I'll describe the issue as best I can. If I start a new card and put a text field on the back side with a database value, loading a csv file will successfully bind and show the value. However, at some point during the design process, all database fields stop working on the back side of the card. The front remains working fine, only the back side stops binding the values. The CR8 software loads the CSV file just fine and I can see my loaded data when I click the view button. It simply fails to render the value to the database field. The problem is consistent with 2 PC's that have the trial software installed. There is a database field called Group. Here is a link to a cr8 template file that has the issue. drive.google.com/open?id=0B2B-TE1F6K1Zekl3NFZFM09VMTgThe contents of the file I used looks like this: Group One Two Three If we can find a solution to this problem, my company would love to purchase several licenses for this software.

If I link to data that just contains the Group field then I get the same error. However, if the data also contains MemberId and EffectiveDate (you are linked to these on the front of the card), then I do not get the error.
It seems that if you try and reference a data field that does not exist on the front of the card, then the fields on the back will not update. If you try and print in this situation then you will (correctly) get an error message (because you are referencing fields that are not in the data).
I will issue an update in the next few days that will update the back of the card during the preview in this situation.

That is great to hear! This software fills a real niche for us under very reasonable licensing. If it works out on this project there are other places we will use the product as well.

Thank you so much for the quick response! You're right, when I added the rest of the values to the file it works. And it appears to resolve the issues with the other templates I've created as well. Very happy to have a solution for this. I look forward to the update as that would make testing easier without having to have other values loaded as well.

The software has been updated (5.1019). The back of the card will now still update if there are linking errors, and Text fields will now show '#ERROR#' if they are linked to database fields that do not exist.
