Hello, It seems that no one else has reported this ... - The remove Overlap tool dosn't work for me. I tried the figure from the manual, but nothing happens.
- After importing a glyph from an external font, the frame of the target-glyph is shifted to the left. p1 is less than 0 and p2 is shifted by the same value. I noticed similar effects after running scripts, but I can't recall exactly where. I Know, this can be fixed with a short script (i made one) but it's not nice ...
- There is a Problem with the Version/Revision-Number, in one field it has a komma as decimal-separator, in the other a dot.
Please fix this ...

- I am not sure what is not working for you. Can you give more details? I assume you mean the remove overlap touch-up tool (on toolbox) as opposed to the remove overlap function on the contour menu. If so, then you need to select exactly two points on two separate contours before applying the tool.
- Yes, there appears to be a bug here - thanks. This will be fixed in the next update. NOTE: If you convert the fonts to .gfs files first, and add these to the external font menu (rather than adding .otf or .ttf files), then the problem does not occur.
- The version number is stored in two places. 1. As a text string in the names menu and 2. In font description as a number. The version number in font description will display using the decimal separator as defined by your computer systems language settings (some European countries use comma, most other countries use full-stop). The one in the names menu will display as per how the name was inputted, and because this is in the US-English names section, it should always be a full-stop. This is not a bug.

Hello Allan,
thanks for your answer.
>>I am not sure what is not working for you. Can you give more details? I assume you mean the remove overlap touch-up tool (on toolbox)... yes you are right, i simply confused the overlap on the touch up button at the tool-bar, with the overlap in the Contour-menu. The Contour-menu-option works. Now what's the point with the "remove overlap touch-up tool"? What is ist good for?
>> The version number is stored in two places. 1. As a text string in the names menu and 2 ... I think it makes no sense to mix international komma-separation within one file, so I would prefer, just to stick on the dot, whatever the language-setting of the OS says. On the other hand, this isn't a great problem.
I found another issue: Whenever I change something on a glyph, there's a good chance that the boundingbox of any composite-glyph, which uses it, will be incorrect. So i have to go to any composite glyph, which uses the original and make a small change to get the boundigbox of the composite recalculated. Can you change this?

- Maybe the "remove overlap touch-up tool" is not very well named (as opposed to the function on the contour menu - which strictly removes overlaps). It is basically a method of joining two closed contours, where you can specify which segments of the contours are not removed (ie the parts that you select). You could use it to take a 'bite out of an apple', for example, if you have one contour which is an 'apple', and one which is a 'bite shape'.
- The computers language settings just determine how the number is displayed and inputted on your screen, not how it is stored in the font. If you prefer using the full-stop as a numerical separator, then you should probably change this on your computers system language settings, as the same will apply to other applications.
- I will look into this other issue too - thanks.

These two bugs (metrics issues when transferring glyphs from external ttf and otf fonts, and composite glyph bounding boxes not updating for ttf fonts) in the latest release today (3.2.037 for Windows, 3.2.024x for Mac).
