I have successfully used Type Light on a Vista pc to do the following:
Copy a glyph to the clipboard, Open/create New Font, Add New Glyph, Paste. Then the "new" glyph is ready to edit, and map to the chosen character. I have used this process quite a number of times, and have no problem under Vista.
However, on my Windows 8 machine, it seems like the clipboard gets cleared when I open or create a new font. Although the "Paste" button is active (not grayed out), there seems to be nothing to paste anymore.
I have tried reboots, un-installing and re-installing the program, and I don't have any other ideas.
Has anyone reported a problem like this? Is there any work-around you can suggest?
Many thanks in advance for any advice.

No clues for me?
I should add, I am running Windows 8, 64-bit.
This process DOES work with the Type3.2 Demo, so I doubt that it is a problem with my computer.
I really need a hint or two. Thanks.

Go to view/preferences and make sure that paste to make compostite glyphs is turned off.
I think that will solve the problem.
