A new update for Type 3.2 has been released - Windows 3.2.047 (25 March 2018), and Mac 3.2.032 (25 April 2018). This update adds further support for colour fontsThe following colour font formats are now supported: - Microsoft layer (COLR/CPAL) - as previous, but with improved layer editor - OpenType SVG (embedded SVG graphics) - new- Apple sbix (embedded PNG graphics) - newThe editor allows: - creation of all three formats (SVG and PNG graphics need to be created using third party software, graphics are then imported) - edit all three formats (SVG and PNG graphics are extracted for editing by third party software) - conversion between formats (allowed conversion paths: Layer->SVG, Layer->Apple, SVG->Apple) Colour glyphs can be rendered in colour in the colour font window, the main edit window and full font preview window. New action commands for colour fonts allow: - adding new layers to layer fonts - creating layer outlines from base glyph, from external font or any other action method - setting layer colour - importing SVG and PNG images from directory - exporting SVG and PNG images to directory (See manual for an example of scripts being used to create a simple colour font) Other minor updates include: - new show fill button on toolbar, which temporarily shows glyph in edit window as it would be rendered (colour and monochrome) - addition of script edit button to run action dialog - Manual has been updated
