Hi,
I'm new to type 3.2. I have the full version of the software, and I've recently created several regular fonts. I was hoping to make bold and italic versions of these fonts using action scripts, however, when I went to run the stroke action, I noticed that I'm missing this action.
The only actions that I have are apple, decompose, italic 10 degrees, ordinals, random effect, reverse, rotate middle, scalePStoTT, scale TTtoPS, small capitals, and to TTcurves. I am missing all of the transformation and translation commands listed in Appendix VI of the user manual, including move, origin, rotate, stretch, stroke, skewx, and skewy.
How do I access the stroke command?
Thanks!

The basic install comes with several action scripts - commonly used scripts and demo scripts.
The idea is to write your own, the commands in Appendix VI are commands that can be used in action scripts, and are not actually scripts themselves.
To make a new script: 1. select edit actions from the global menu. 2. click new and enter a name for your script (eg stroke 20 units) 3. in the blank area type your script. eg type: stroke 20 4. press OK. Your script will now appear on the list.
Note that the italic 10 degrees action is a little more complicated that the above because it restores the inter-character spacing after the transformation. But you can edit the line that says skewx 10 if you want a different angle.
