I would like to know how I can change the entire width of a font. I would like to make all the character narrower by a percentage.

With the current version (2.2.025) you can only do this if you are modifying a mono-spaced font (in which case - just modify the width of one glyph and they will all change).
For proportionally spaced fonts you would have to change each glyph manually.
The next major upgrade of Type 2.2 will include some method of performing global transformations and alterations of glyphs. So you will be able to easily make a whole font narrower, bolder, italic or whatever. But this will not be available until sometime next year.

P.S. Use the new thread button to make a post - cheers.

Dear Allan, You have very nice software. I have already download your Type 3.1 Font Editor, but I can't find my mother language's font. Unicode number from U+1200 to U+137F. Can you add Ethiopic font into your software. This font uses three countries more than 20 languages.
Thanks a lot!

Has there been any progress on this? I have a font I used in inkscape to do a nice effect by stretching it, but now that it's time to release to the web, I need a font that is stretched in the same manner. Thanks!

Yes, Type 3.1 full version has Action scripts, which are user-defined actions that can be run over a range of glyphs or the entire font. This feature is not available in the light version.

Hmmm... I only need this as a one-off, so ~$60 for the pro version is a bit prohibitive. Is there an owner of the paid version who might be interested in widening a font on my behalf for a few bucks?
