I have created a set 210 glyphs that I wish to map as characters in a predefined font, I have them mapped to the Arabic Unicode block because I don't speak Arabic and am unlikely to ever pick it up and the block is early in the list and has a high enough number of spaces to accommodate my set of glyphs. However, when I install the edited font, the glyphs I need are scattered all over character map which is exactly what I don't want. I am wanting to map them to a second keyboard and hunting for characters to do this is counterproductive. The problem seems to have something to do with "code pages" because the kind of scattering I see in character map is the same as what I see there. Can someone help me with this? I don't understand the difference between coding pages and Unicode scripts sections of the mapper.

When the mapping window is set to CodePages, you are viewing the unicode characters that are present in a particular character set (eg Latin 1252). When it is set to Unicode Scripts, you are viewing the same unicode characters, but listed as a range of unicode values.
