Hi, I'm new to font making and have no knowledge of programing. I've been reading up on action scripts to automatically make a font bold. I see there is one in the program for italics but not for making it bold. I see where there is the part about changing the italic slant but the rest is gibberish to me. Sorry. Allen, would you be able to post the scrip language that I would need to put in to create a new action script? Or anyone else whose done it? I see how I create a new action, but don't know the programming language and settings to do so. Thanks. If anybody can help me out, I appreciate it.

The script for boldening a font is as simple as:
stroke 10
To bolden by 10 units.
Depending on the contour direction, you might need to make the number negative. You can determine the desired value by doing a manual stroke transform, and taking note of the value displayed.
Note also that the stroke function is currently 'imperfect' in that it may produce overlapping contours with large stroke values. So you may need to manually 'touch-up' some the glyphs after running the action. This is due to be improved in a future update.
