I've been using typelight 3.2 with a class of 9 year olds in ICT lessons. They loved it. For our final outcome I got each of the children to design a few different smileys with the intention of putting them into one symbols font. I realised too late that I can't copy and paste between files. Would I be able to do this in the professional version? Can anyone suggest a way to combine their work into one font file? Thanks.

While you cannot have two fonts open in the same instance, you can have two instances open export its data from the one instance and then import that into the master file.

Dave,
Yes the full version will allow you to combine glyphs from different fonts. But if it is a one-off, you can email me the fonts (allanmurray@cr8software.net) and I will combine them for you.
Allan.

Thanks very much for both answers. Allan, that's an extraordinary genorous offer, which I'm reluctant to take up because it is quite a large job! There are about 90 files to combine - the children have each saved their favourite smiley into the capital A. I'll look at the other workaround suggested, look at teh cost of one copy of the pro software, and maybe get back to you. Thanks again.
