If it is a Latin font, then check that the active box is ticked for the 1252 Latin 1 codepage.
If that does not work, then you can send the fonts (original and modified) to me at: allanmurray@cr8software.net to look at.

Hi Allan Nearly there :-) Thank you so much for the tip. Even though I did something different, it brought the solution to me. I un-ticked the active Box, then it worked. BUT: in a higher resolution, the modified Glyph looks not as I want it. Perhaps I quickly explain to you, what I need: I have to edit a Note for a Music Notation Programm. It should be a Note with a circle around it. As you can see here: In a higher Resolution it ends up like this: This is how it looks in type liight: Thanks for your help. If necassary, how can I send you the Fonts? Greets from Germany Zaffi

You simply need to reverse the direction of the inner circle. Select the contour (click on one of the nodes while pressing CTRL), then select reverse from the contour menu.
There is a light grey arrow between the first and second nodes of each contour which indicates the contour direction (turn off preview fill to see them). Each concentric curve should be in the opposite direction.
