Hi,
I would like to rename certain fonts so the "New" name appears in my applications, My Computer, Win Explorer and any other file managers I use. That way I can identify the font by it's true character not by it's orig name, many times which is arcane.
I have the cr8 lite software.
cheers,
klxdrt

Use the rename font option on the font menu. Use the correct naming convention for the family, sub family and full names, as directed (eg Arial, bold, Arial or Arial bold).
Note that this is a new feature in version 3.2.011 and later. In earlier versions you will need to enter the above names and others using names from the font menu. Download the latest version from the website.

Hello, Can I use the software to change the name of the font for commercial? Do I have to buy license to do so?

Type light is licensed for limited commercial use. Which means that it depends upon who you are and what you want to use it for. Generally, if you are a business, then you need to buy the full version. You can email me at allanmurray@cr8software.net if you want more details.
